Dear Reader:
My name is David James and I have a passion for music. I have been playing drums for more than 10 years and have had opportunities to be a part of a traveling music group while in college. At the same time, I have not had the opportunity to invest myself into a career in music. I went to college for Advertising and Public Relations planning on a career in media marketing.
I am currently working in a sales role for a company that pride’s itself on training for success. Although I can see a long and prosperous career on the path I am, I dream of starting a band. This blog is my outlet into the industry. I plan on learning and growing as a marketing professional by delving into the world of music advertising. Moreover, I plan to engage with others and find a way to turn this outlet into a reality.
If I am going to start a band; I need to know how to start, where to start, who to connect with, how to invest, how to reach an audience, and much more. As I struggle through this, I hope that I will meet people and network into a position where I can follow my own steps and build a new career.
